Shraddha Kapoor's upcoming period drama Eetha now has a December 4 theatrical date. The film had previously been scheduled for August 28, two days after Yash's pan-India action release Toxic: A Fairytale for Grownups.

Directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Maddock Films, Eetha is inspired by the life of celebrated lavani and tamasha performer Vithabai Bhau Mang Narayangaonkar. The cast also includes Randeep Hooda and Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, while Ajay-Atul are handling the music.

The move removes one major August clash, but it does not guarantee a clear runway. The new date is also associated with other high-profile projects, including an Anees Bazmee film featuring Akshay Kumar and Vidya Balan. That makes the December positioning an important test of how audiences respond to a music-and-performance-led biographical drama during a crowded release period.
