KBC 18 premiere brings Aamir Khan, Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta together
The stars opened the new season with Amitabh Bachchan, promoted Batwara 1947 and faced a difficult question connected to poet Nida Fazli.
Kaun Banega Crorepati opened its eighteenth season with a Bollywood-heavy premiere. Amitabh Bachchan welcomed Aamir Khan, Sunny Deol and Preity Zinta to the hot seat as the guests promoted their period drama Batwara 1947.
The episode mixed film promotion with the quiz show's charitable format, with the guests' winnings intended for a foundation. One of the evening's most discussed moments arrived at the ₹25 lakh question, which centred on Hindi poet and lyricist Nida Fazli and left the celebrity team searching for the answer.
The combination gave the premiere several generations of Hindi-cinema history in one frame: Bachchan as host, Khan and Deol sharing the game, and Zinta returning to a major promotional spotlight. It also connected the television launch to Batwara 1947, the Independence Day-period release featuring Deol, Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Karan Deol and Ali Fazal.
